The EHR Training Specialist is responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of training clinical users of the electronic health record system(s) at ECU Physicians. Additionally, technical assistance and consultation is provided to various levels of clinical departmental and organizational managers, supervisors and clinical staff in the use of the EHR system(s). Frequent incoming and rotating provider and clinical support staff necessitate flexible programs and training on a continual basis. Primary responsibilities are to plan, develop, coordinate and conduct EHR training and development activities for clinical departments. The individual will need to stay abreast of system technical and operational specifications and will need the ability to assess individual and group learning needs. The EHR Training Specialist will also develop and administer competencies for the EHR training.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (formerly Pitt County Memorial Hospital). Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 70 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
