As a member of Cargill Feed & Nutrition, you will work in decentralized organizations as a key contributor to the management team. Working within one of our regions, you will make significant decisions that impact the customer's businesses and your region’s profitability and will be challenged by immediate responsibility. Our headquarters are located in Hopkins, Minnesota, but we have Plant Manager positions available throughout the United States. This position is specifically to support our facility in Wilson, NC.

As a Plant Manager you will manage the facilities and the people to produce animal nutrition products as efficiently as possible while meeting all of Cargill Feed & Nutrition’s corporate and government guidelines. This will include setting performance standards, establishing budgets, managing costs, hiring and training, employee relations, safety compliance, and implementation of all maintenance, production, and customer service excellence programs.

You will learn and be accountable for Cargill management practices around, engineering design, inventory management, scheduling, quality control, food safety, customer service, cost, personnel management, and safety practices. You will also have the opportunity to learn about other functions within the business; meeting with customers as well as administrative training in the areas of merchandising, pricing, accounting formulation and nutrition.

You may supervise up to 20 employees and will be responsible for hiring, labor relations, engineering, maintenance, employee safety and production programs, environmental affairs, planning and training.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years supervisory experience in a feed milling or similar industry OR 5+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Demonstrated mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Must be able and willing to work from heights (i.e. ladders, catwalks, etc.) and in an indoor/outdoor environment
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Animal Science, Business, or Engineering
