Fidelity Investment Management Technology (FIMT) supports the core Fidelity Management and Research Company (FMR) business through the provision of technology platforms and services. FIMT is currently expanding its global presence by growing technology teams in the US, Ireland and India.
We require a Senior Support Analyst to assume responsibility for data quality and the effective operation and maintenance of the batch environment and database solutions for defined business areas.
The successful candidate will possess a service oriented mindset with excellent technical knowledge and trouble shooting ability combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Primary Responsibilities
:
- Responsibility for data quality and the day to day support of batch systems supporting a portfolio of business products
- Business expert with an in-depth knowledge of the data and technologies of the products supported.
- Drive incident management and resolution, identifying root cause and coordination of fixes.
- Assess the business impact of outages and ensures proper notification and escalation.
- Assist in the rollout of new products
- Point of escalation for outages, ensures prompt escalation and engagement with partner organizations as required to minimize the business impact.
- Ensure process is followed for the safe execution of production data manangement activitiies
- Works with development and product transition teams to ensure proper transition of knowledge through change and release processes.
- Monitor and manage incident tickets
- Coordinates support activities with global counter parts.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field , Project Management certification is desirable
Technical background and solid understanding of database principles and ITIL based best practices
Experience with batch scheduling software, Autosys a plus
Extensive experience with Oracle, Sybase & ETL platforms.
Extensive experience with SQL and PL/SQL
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment with on-shore and off-shore development resources
Ability to understand the business criticality of data and data platforms as they relate to complex business concepts and processes.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including facing off to senior leaders in the business and technology organizations
Ability to understand a complex and globally distributed systems environment
Working knowledge of basic investment terms and practices is desirable
Familiarity with ITIL framework
Financial systems knowledge
Comfortable with multiple database concepts, i.e. RDBMS, OODB, ODS, Warehouse
