Detailed specification about this occupation opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Projects are available to investigate novel roles of nuclear receptors, especially the thyroid hormone receptors (TRs), in dev! elopment. Projects involve molecular, genetic and developmental studies to elucidate these functions in the cochlea, retina and other systems. In addition, we seek to identify genes that cooperate with the receptor genes in determining the developmental program in these systems. Such cooperating genes include those encoding deiodinase enzymes that may regulate the levels of thyroid hormone ligand in specific tissues. Experience in mammalian genetics and/or molecular biology would be an advantage. (PD-3907) Contact Information Douglas Forrest 301-594-6170 forrestd@niddk.nih.gov
