Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of successful service as a classroom teacher. Strong preference for former classroom teacher or administrator with experience in South Carolina public schools. Must have knowledge of school district staff, organizational structure and relationships between among administrators, classroom teachers and other school personnel. Knowledge of field experiences and clinical practice preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be knowledgeable about how to effectively use public school classroom experiences to maximize student learning for teaching candidates wit! hin EHHP programs. Must be willing to meet regularly with scho! ol district level (and school level) personnel to plan, negotiate and secure field placements. Must have clear oral and written communication skills and strong computer skills, including mastery and experience in PC environments, data collection, reporting and analysis of data. Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, faculty, students and the public. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks. Knowledge of state regulations regarding teacher certification and advising techniques preferred.
