Our client, a top 10 Insurance Company has an opening for a Claims Unit Manager over Work Comp in two locations. Relocation assistance IS ! available.
The selected candidate will manage a group of 8 to 9 associates handling multi state Workers' Compensation claims. The Ideal candidate should have prior/current Workers' Compensation claims handling and Workers' Compensation management experience. Our client would consider candidates with prior/current management and with 10 years of experience in other insurance disciplines .i.e Casualty, Litigation...
Job Duties are.....
- Responsible to drive unit performance and key performance objectives to meet and/or exceed expectations, and to promote and insure understanding of key objectives by Associates
- Performs and participates In effective quarterly Quality Assurance reviews and annual Supplemental audits
- Creates and implements effective Actions Plans associated to areas of opportunity identified
- Measure, monitor and insure technical accuracy, customer service expectations, timely reporting to State and other Regulatory ! agencies
- Responsible for associate management includi! ng: performance management, salary planning and administrations, development planning, workforce planning, and day-to-day direct supervisor interactions
- Monitors and drives appropriate utilization of loss cost reducing vendor relationships to insure customers receive timely and appropriate services at appropriate costs
- Maintains knowledge of EDI regulatory reporting requirements unique to each State serviced
