Job Description Summary : The responsibility of this position is to provide balance sheet and cash flow financial analysis, review and summarize monthly actual and forecasted results and communicate with senior financial management. This is a key finance department support position within the Power, Controls and Sensing Systems segment at the UTC Aerospace Systems corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
Duties include:
Review and analyze monthly actual results, comparing to the latest forecast to identify significant variances
Summarize financial results and key operating metrics in internal monthly Management Letter
Prepare and generate monthly management reporting including various reports to summarize actual results and monthly forecasts
Prepare and assist in the preparation of all OMM presentations and annual financial planning process
Support annual planning process, assist in preparing templates/guidance and addressing business unit questions
Actively participate in ACE projects and process improvements
Analyze financial data and key metrics, assess balance sheet and cash flow risks and opportunities
Support and respond to UTC requests and other adhoc requests
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree
Basic Qualifications :
Two or more years of relevant experience in finance or accounting (industry or public accounting)
Strong analytical skills and experience with financial statement analysis and financial metrics
Understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
Strong verbal and wr! itten communications skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to handle multiple tasks and capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management is preferred
Willingness to work effectively in a team environment
