The Power, Controls, ! and Information Systems (PC&IS) Manager is a core team member of the Oral Care packing manufacturing organization. This role has the responsibility to deliver electrical technical solutions, lead controls scope on cost-savings and improvement projects, support new initiatives, maintain and improve electrical work systems, and build capability in electrical technicians.
Responsibilities would include:
leading and delivering a packing area masterplan to eliminate PC&IS losses and increase overall process reliability
leading and delivering project development, qualification, and validation
developing an obsolescence migration strategy to upgrade electrical technology
assisting in troubleshooting electrical issues to root cause and implementing systemic fixes
building technical capability in others
participation on the Site PC&IS Leadership Team to develop the future vision of technology and capabilities needed fo! r the Greensboro technical organizations
- BS/! MS Electrical Engineering is required
- Proven track record of technical mastery and the ability to quickly learn/apply new technology is required; aptitude and experience in PC&IS technology (PLC, HMI, MES, networks, etc.);
- Strong leadership skills required to organize and deliver success criteria on multiple controls projects; able to envision the future, enroll others, and engage directly to accomplish breakthrough results
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and collaboration skills; able to work with others and be a team player
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach root cause problem solving
- Possesses the ability to combine intuition with data in order to develop project strategies and plans; able to acquire and analyze complex information to generate options and alternatives
- Experience in building electrical capability in others; development and execution of training plans to grow individual contributio! ns in technical and leadership capacities
- Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix, Rockwell Kinetix, Rockwell Powerflex, Elau PacDrive, and Rockwell and Wonderware HMI’s
- Previous hands-on troubleshooting and experience in a manufacturing site
