Provides representation within a specified territory selling the company s products and services. Maintains and maximizes the percentage of eac! h institutionâs annual expenditures spent with the company. Provides assistance relating to customer issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):
Provides ongoing sales representation to establish customer rapport/confidence to maximize sales within territory. Responsible for achieving sales volume levels while maintaining profitability goals from new and existing accounts that meet or exceed territorial quotas established by sales management. Responsible for proficiency demonstrating on all Baker & Taylor electronic ordering, digital platforms & Collection Development applications and interfaces. Participates in training sessions and keeps current on all products, services, and marketing techniques. Exhibits at all approved conventions/conferences, semi! nars, and training sessions, held at various intervals includi! ng weekends, as directed by sales management. Provides ongoing reporting of competitive information and territorial strategy to sales managements. Completes required territorial reporting, including expense and sales, on a weekly basis.
Travel Responsibilities
Position requires overnight travel. Overall travel is estimated at 75-80%.

Requirements: Qualifications
Bachelor s degree and two to four years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Word. Ability to demonstrate company software/E-Book platform to customers. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets financial reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and effectivel! y present information to management and public groups. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision in order view CRT/PC screens and read written reports.
