The USO of North Carolina is seeking a Director of Development. The Director of Development will be responsible for securing new sources of income from individuals, foundations, and corporations, as well as expanding and maintaining the current donor base.
Responsibilities/Duties
The selected candidate will provide leadership, strategic direction, management, and coordination for all aspects of the USO of North Carolina’s fundraising efforts. Working with the President and Board Development committee prepare the annual fundraising
plan in collaboration with the regional Centers; provide detailed reports including financial results against budget, implement fundraising strategies that increase support from individuals, enhance relationship with existing corporate partners, and expand
base of support with specific focus on developing major donors.
The successful fundraising plan will include maximizing resul! ts in annual campaigns, galas, special events, major gifts, an! d sponsorships.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strategist who processes strong leadership skills, is adept at planning and prioritizing, processes an entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to anticipate and act on events and opportunities to advance the work of the
USO of North Carolina. The director will also coordinate fundraising efforts and comply with all fundraising polices of USO, Inc.
Knowledge of U.S. military and their families is desired by not required.
The USO of North Carolina’s headquarters is in Raleigh, and considerable statewide travel is expected.
Details
The starting salary range for this position is $48,000 - $52,000 and includes a benefits package.
