Stormwater Tech II - 6-17-2013Salary Range$26,332 - $40,040Brief Job DescriptionInstall and maintain stormwater system throughou! t City. Act as lead man in absence of Supervisor. Operate heavy equipment, set up jobsite, and ensure jobsite is safe for everyone. Set up laser and transits, make grade shots, and set correct percentages.
Haul heavy equipment to job. Estimate material needed. Talk to public. Train co-workers.
Operate Jet truck to clean lines. Set up trenching and shoring. Perform confined space entries when needed. Perform sewer repair when needed to include rodding lines, installing and repairing lines.
Operate plows/sanders during snow and ice operations. Cut grass and make necessary repairs at landfill. Form and pour concrete. Pick up trash along trail and river.
Maintain equipment. Clean building and yard. Install garbage cans, benches, and bike racks in Central Business District. Assist other departments.
Remove graffiti. Over two years of experience in a Public Works, utility, or construction field is required. A valid SC Commercial Beginn! ers Permit (Class B) with air brake and tanker endorsements. M! ust obtain a valid CDL (Class A) within 3 months of employment.
Must obtain within 6 months of employment Confined Space Certification, Trenching and Shoring Certification, Competent Person Safety Certification, and Traffic Control Training.
