THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Newly created positions to support growth and accelerated processes of the manufacturing facility. The fabrication Engineer will be responsible for the fabrication department.
Develops product/process designs and implements production methods to reduce manufactur! ing costs.
Develop and maintain BOMs in the ERP System
Provides engineering support for the development of railway maintenance equipment.
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to improve information for management decisions
Facilitates production processes by meeting with appropriate departments regarding production capabilities, production schedules and other considerations
Applies statistical methods to estimate future production requirements/potential
Develops continuous improvement using lean methodologies to drive improvements.
Develops and implements product qualification protocols
Works with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment

Shop Floor / Hands on Degreed Engineer â€" BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline Experience in metal processing required - plasma burning, laser cutting, brake forming, and similar skills Experience in welding and / or machining a major plus Need and individual who searches for and stays up with new process technologies in the industry. 5 + years experience in manufacturing engineering 2 or more years Lean Manufacturing Prefer low volume experience and process related experience Familiar with BO! MS and routers
