The individual in this posi! tion:
Serves as senior level liaison between business and technology to translate tactical and strategic objectives into workable solutions.
Applies solid business knowledge to define system scopes and requirements.
Facilitates requirements meetings for moderately complex projects.
Researches solutions and coordinates the remediation of deficiencies.
Considers latest technologies and new approaches to designs and implementation of new systems.
Reviews changes or upgrades to existing systems designs.
Leads business and functional resources in the design of efficient business processes that fully leverage technical solutions being delivered or developed
Develops requirements documents, user documentation, manuals, training materials, and job aids.
Reviews test plans and testing methodology to mitigate risks and to ensure the systems meet functional and performance requirements; assists in troubles! hooting complex problems.
Escalates highly complex issues to subject matter experts.
Performs moderately complex capacity planning and monitoring in multiple business and information technology functions.
Gathers, analyzes, and documents current practices, workflows, and business needs to identify efficiencies, alternatives, and gaps.
Analyses internal information technology capacity, vendor capabilities, and business processes to suggest improvements, propose automation, and streamline business intelligence and decision processes.
Analyzes best approach to solving systems problems (innovation vs. re-use/purchase vs. develop).
Defines project scopes and timeframes.
Makes budget recommendations for projects and implementation.
Gathers, analyzes, and documents requirements, and manages changes to the project scope or deliverables.
Ensures that technical functional specifications cover all busines! s functional specifications
Develops positive relationships wi! th other company functions involved in the design process.
Qualifications
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.
The successful candidate for this position will have the following skills and abilities:
Intermediate level of relevant work experience
Knowledge of software development lifecycle
Interpret user requirements into functional solution design
Shepherd changes through testing and implementation
BUSINESS ANALYSIS PLANNING AND MONITORING:
Has an in-depth knowledge of the plan business analysis approach.
Manage performance of business analysts
ELICITATION:
Drives consensus for a desired future state that meets the business problem and objectives.
Can uncover needs that business partners and end users would not be able to articulate on the! ir own.
MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION:
Properly prioritizes business and enterprise demands.
Accurately translates and manage business requirements into performance expectations
Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
