This position supports the company enterprise mapping solution and Market Strategy/ Real Estate groups through data creation and managemen! t, process improvement, map generation, GIS platform support, and special projects. Responsible for managing the various GIS applications used at Family Dollar by internal and external customers as well developing strong relationships with GIS and data vendors.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Create, manage, and maintain SQL database used to store data utilized in GIS systems
Communicate interdepartmentally and across functionally in order to obtain, compile and share data.
Maintain internal company and competitor data
Oversee data integrity of internal and external data
Assists in project planning, execution and implementation of Market Strategy and Real Estate GIS Processes
Create training materials for Family Dollar Customization in GIS and administer training for internal and external users
Provide technical support regarding GIS systems with internal and external users
Manage access! of required tools and databases to streamline delivery of GIS! information and data
Act as GIS Platform Administrator
Create Reports and Thematic Layers in GIS platform as needed
Support Company Enterprise Mapping Solution
Produce maps for various departments as requested
Provide expertise in GIS products: TAS Online and MapInfo
Facilitate Software Updates for Alteryx
Develop and maintain Alteryx Modules for various processes as needed
Create Executive and Senior Leader Dashboards including â€" demographic, competitive, store performance, and strategic initiatives
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Geography, Real Estate or Business; MA or MBA preferred
Experience:
2-3 years job related experience in the Real Estate and Market Analysis field, preferably in the Retail, Ba! nking, or Restaurant industries; Proficiency in demographic and GIS programs
Skill sets:
Understanding of trade area methodology and design; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present information to multiple levels of an organization; proven ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at one time; must be thorough and detail-oriented; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software packages (ex. MapInfo, ESRI); familiarity with statistics and how models are built and applied in business setting; experience using statistical software packages (ex. SAS, SPSS)
