Cashiers provide the fastest and most pleasant customer service by actively communicating with every customer including greeting, thanking by name and any other courtesy guideline. Cashiers accurately scan! customers' orders, and handle monies and tender to insure proper accounting of customer transactions. In addition, Cashiers properly bag customers’ orders, work well with co-workers and supervisors, maintain cash control and ringing procedures to eliminate shrink, and maintain a clean work area. As needed, a Cashier directs customers to his/her lane, and performs other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS-
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. occasionally and 15 lbs. constantly
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Demonstrate successful use of math skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to retrieve and push in shopping carts
- Ability to bend and lift to load customer orders into cars
