Working under the direction of physical therapists, licensed physical therapist assistants possess a great deal of responsibility in providing treatment and rehabilitative services to patients who have exp! erienced injury or disabling disease
Job Duties:
Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act
Assist patients in reaching his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities
Uses technical skills to deliver care interventions and therapeutic modalities
Provide patients with exercises, massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction and ultrasound, among other assigned duties
Skills/Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
State License/registration where applicable
CPR and basic lifesaving skills certification
Requirements:
PTA in Aiken, SC and surrounding area.
