Ensures that quality-nursing care is rendered to patients/residents in accordance with policies, procedures, and the standards of Nursing Service and the Medical Center. Provides direct nursing care to individual and groups of patients, under the guidance and directives of the Nurse Manager (HN) as indicated. Evaluates patient care daily by assessing patients and reviewing nursing documentation. Assist staff to comply with performance measures. Ensures patient outcomes are achieved within established time frames. Recognizes keen abnormalit! ies or instability of patient condition in a timely manner, an! ticipating and coordinating appropriate actions. Funtions as day to day clinical leader, directing and guiding the nursing staff in the provision of patient care, monitor change of shift report to ensure exchange of appropriate information in a concise and timely manner. Makes rounds as frequently as necessary for the purpose of observing, assessing, and meeting patient needs, ensures physician orders are processed accurately. Works in close coordination and collaboration with the Nurse Manager (Head Nurse). Keeps the Nurse Manager and other supervisory personnel informed of issues of significance.The incumbent may be required to provide coverage to 5J.
