We're on the hunt for 2 Hammer Hand to join our company in Auckland. If you're handy with tools and have a passion for building and construction, we want you!
Your job will involve working alongside our carpenters, helping out on construction sites and making sure everything runs smoothly. We need someone who can work efficiently, follow instructions and take safety seriously.
Job Responsibilities:
- Help the carpenters with anything they need, like measuring and cutting materials, and installing structures.
- Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites.
- Erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as safety barricades and scaffolding.
- Using ladders, scaffolds, and other equipment to reach multi story buildings.
- Cleaning of site and removing any unwanted material waste and dump to on-site skip bin.
- Unloading materials on site.
- Assisting builders in installation by moving materials during material installation.
- Work Vehicle cleaning and organising tools and Materials for safe transfer.
- Assisting in spreading and levelling soil, gravel, sand on the site and driveways, trench bottoms etc.
- Assisting in mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete and plaster etc.
- Construct formwork using traditional timber methods or steel panel system
- Demolition of old structures
- Able to read blue prints
- Safely use of power tools to complete the works
- Tie & fix steel reinforcing
- Tidying up Job sites
Qualifications:
- Be able to use hand and power tools.
- Be attentive to detail and able to take direction.
- Have the strength to lift heavy materials.
- Be a good communicator and team player.
