You will be responsible for:
- Ensure that all analysis and support tasks and measurements are conducted effectively and accurately according to company standard procedures.
- You will prepare solutions according to instructions and standardized operating procedures, and perform analyses and reports within time limits.
- Implement and develop new methods.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- General assistance in the laboratory.
- Manage stock levels to ensure lab work continuity.
- Ensure that records are done accurately as per company standards and procedures.
- Support current R&D projects by running appropriate analysis and sampling.
- Communicate efficiently with R&D teams to discuss outcomes and improvements.
Requirements and Ideal Experience:
- You must have a BSc degree or equivalent in biotechnology (highly preferred), chemistry, or in an equivalent field.
- You must have at least one year of experience as a laboratory technician or similar position.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Basics of plant science, biostatistics, and biochemistry.
- Knowledge of microbiology and genetics of microorganism and industrial microbiology
- Knowledge of food biotechnology, energy, and biomass.
- Knowledge of Medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology.
- Experience from biochemical characterization techniques: HPLC highly appreciated.
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of laboratory procedures, methodology, and standards.
- Capacity to work independently and in a team in a laboratory environment.
- Capacity to produce clear records and data reports.
- Fluent MS Office program skills.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Knowledge of the Spanish language is an advantage.
