Here's a list of software that would be beneficial for candidates to have some familiarity with.
Basic understanding or a keen interest in learning them would be perfectly acceptable.


  • Python: This programming language is a must, given its widespread use in AI and machine learning applications.
  • TensorFlow/PyTorch: These are two of the most popular libraries for machine learning and deep learning.
  • Keras: This is a high-level neural networks API, written in Python and capable of running on top of TensorFlow.
  • Scikit-learn: This is a free software machine learning library for Python.
  • Pandas: This is a software library written for data manipulation and analysis in Python.
  • Langchain: This is a high-level API for interaction with a number of language models.
  • Mivus/Chroma/pgvector: Databases for storing vector data relevant for LLM augmentation. The postgres extension pgvector adds vector indexing to traditional DBs.
  • SQL/NoSQL databases: Knowledge of databases is essential for handling and storing large volumes of data.
  • Linux: Proficiency in Linux is beneficial for system administration and managing server environments.
