Slow is a collective of people, places and projects that reframe the way we live, work and interact. Drawing insights from regenerative agriculture, adaptive reuse and the slow movement, Slow is currently developing places around the world that offer a deeper, conscious and collaborative form of hospitality.

Alongside our destination strategy to own, develop and operate places & projects in creative hubs globally, we are currently developing an online and offline membership program based on different tiers. To support our team in charge of the development of this program, including a subscription-based platform for travel inspiration and bookings, we are looking for an Intern in Business Development to support the project, managing critical pathways, overall timelines, and third-party engagement. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager and gain insights into the creative guidance of the project in collaboration with our technical partners.

We will offer you an unparalleled internship experience in a beautiful location by Spree River in Berlin- Rummelsburg. You will learn about different aspects of developing a new business within the Slowness umbrella, including all steps associated with the development and launch of an online travel platform, ranging from product features & testing, B2B/B2C outreach strategy, to product launch.

Tasks

  • Assist with project coordination (with main focus on our membership program)
  • Support the creation of documents, presentations, translations, guidelines, etc.
  • Keep project information up to date, monitor timeline & deliverables
  • Support communications with stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Handle travel and lodging arrangements for project partners
  • Conduct research on various topics within the hospitality industry
  • Special projects & event organization
  • Assist with office administrational tasks

Requirements

You should be well-travelled, have a genuine interest in trends within the hospitality world. You identify with the principles and ethos of Slowness, and ideally look to convert the internship into a long-term employment. You should be energetic and detail-oriented, with a passion for culture, design, hospitality, and travel. We value candidates who take initiative, are solutions-oriented, and quick with creative thinking. You will contribute to a working environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and open to dialogue. Your communication skills in English (written and spoken) should be excellent. Internship is a full-time position and must be a mandatory part of a bachelor or master program.
