Developex is looking for an Application Engineer to serve as the liaison between support, solution architecture, sales and the product development team.
Skills:
- Technical Support experience (preferably enterprise software) of at least 5+ years or similar experience , e.g. product analyst, application development, business analyst, etc.;
- Excellent communicator (English), both oral and written;
- Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to find root cause;
- Ability to break down highly technical concepts/issues into simple terms to bring all parties together and find a solution;
- Able to multitask efficiently while under pressure ;
- Basic understanding of different programming languages and frameworks (Python, PHP, JavaScript, Java);
- Experience with web applications (Front-end troubleshooting using browser developer tools. OSI Layer 7. TCP/IP network stack);
- Standard internet protocols and ports
- Network monitoring
- Cross-sites connection troubleshooting
- Relational database experience, eg. MS SQL, MySQL (Database Parameters. Database Replication);
- Linux and Windows expert;
- Comfortable with orchestration tools (Docker and Podman. Docker Swarm. Kubernetes and OpenShift. Native Cloud Solutions);
- Manage, report issues, file enhancement requests to the product development team and determine a course of action where needed (Experience with issue tracking systems, e.g., Jira, Linear, Zendesk, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the application expert, especially from a technical perspective;
- Function as the intermediary between support, solution architects, sales and the product development team;
- Handle technical escalations from the support and solution architecture teams;
- Identify and triage issues before escalating to the appropriate development team;
- Provide support where needed for both internal and external stakeholders;
- Analyze the application to identify where improvements can be made based on expertise and real-world feedback (support, solution architecture, sales);
- Work with product managers to drive the application forward from a strategic perspective;
- Build a comprehensive knowledge base in support of the application.
