Momentum is seeking an energetic, organized, and analytical thinker to join our dynamic fundraising team. The Prospect Research and Data Analyst will spend time identifying, researching, and qualifying individuals as major gift prospects consistent with the funding priorities of the organization. As an integral position to all aspects of donor relations and advancing the organization’s mission, the Prospect Research and Date Analyst will be work directly with the Senior Director of Development and senior leadership in the strategic identification of individual, foundation, corporate, and planned gifts.

Prospect Research and Data Analyst Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensures an on-going supply of prospects are in place to meet Momentum's fundraising goals
- Conducts comprehensive research and analysis using free and paid prospect research tools and constituent relationship management database
- Creates and updates constituent information, individual and organizational constituent records, and proactively audits data and ensures accurate data integrity
- Creates comprehensive prospective donor research profiles, event bios, and due-diligence screenings
- Organizes cultivation events in collaboration with the events coordinator to deepen the commitment of long-term constituents and family members
- Provides fund development support for MOMENTUM’s two subsidiary organizations, Momentum Wheels for Humanity and Momentum WORK, Inc. as needed.
Prospect Research and Data Analyst Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; required
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in prospect research or data collection and analysis in a development, financial institution, legal, or related industry; required
Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience working with CRM, Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Blackbaud products preferred
- Understanding of private philanthropy as it relates to not-for-profit organizations and knowledge of fundamental disciplines of resource development
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy in an environment subject to frequent interruptions
Requirements:
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds
- Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Must have a valid California driver’s license, insurance, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
