Job Purpose
Technical Assistant provides support to users regarding Drilling & Well Services budgeting. The job holder contributes to the accurate and reliable annual/revised budget planning, monitoring and analysis in accordance with the changing work programs/ schedules. He/She produces monthly report for spend analysis. He/She also verifies and authorizes payment to suppliers as per payment terms and conditions identified in the contracts and agreements.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate with each project, asset, and corporate function to consolidate operations work programs (Drilling Rig Schedule) in order to prepare annual/revised Drilling & Well services budget.
- Input both OTN and OTF budget for all assets in BPC system.
- Detect and keep track on changing work programs/ schedules and update Drilling expenditure in the database.
- Coordinate with each project, asset to notify user for prepare AFE to asset and submit iAFE in system to get JV approval and create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in SAP system.
- Issue Purchasing Requisition (PR), Purchasing Order (PO), Service Order (SO), Stock Inventory Reservation (SIR).
- Verify & make GR invoice against Purchasing Requisition (PR), Purchasing Order (PO), Service Order (SO) and/or contracts & agreements. Authorize supplier payment and conduct cost analysis and variance clarifications.
- Monthly accrue expenditure before month-end closing.
- Monitor the correctness and timeliness of payment transection.
- Coordinates with JV auditor and engineers for clearing audit issues for all assets.
- Ensure that all work under responsibility is in line with the Company’s standard, process, procedure and international best practices.
- Support and brainstorm with team or external supervisor for any problem related to financial concerns.
- Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
- High Vocational Certificate/Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in related fields
- Experience in accounting operation process, joint venture accounting, cost control activities for E&P industry is preferable.
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Ability to coordinate with various work groups and have a good interpersonal skill.
- Ability to operate PC and basic Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of SAP application
- Strong drive and focus, positive attitude; and proactive team member.
- Self-starter, strong problem-solving ability, quality oriented, well organized and willing to learn.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and solve unexpected problems in an appropriate manner
- Good knowledge of the Company and its activities
- Good presentation skills
