Since 1983, Brynn Marr Hospital has specialized in quality behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults through a comprehensive, integrated system of inpatient treatment and residential programs. Our purpose is to offer caring, effective behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults throughout North Carolina who suffer from mental illness, chemical dependency or developmental disability.
As a Mental Health Worker you will:
Provide direct care for and observation of patients with acute mental illness, behavioral disorders, and/or post-traumatic stress disorders.
Provide treatment through individual interaction and group activities to help patients learn socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors.
Ensure patient safety and perform crisis intervention as needed.
Serve as a role model for adults and adolescent males/females.
Work schedule is a block of six (6) days every two weeks: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, and Friday.
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred.
Prefer experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as a Mental Health Worker working with adolescents and/or adults.
