Two year degree in Healthcare Management, Medical Office Technology, Bus! iness, Finance, Public Health, or other related degree is required. Prefer experience in physician's office, hospital, or other healthcare agency.
Perform patient registration and/ or pre-registration.
Coordinates scheduling of patient procedures by working with physicians and or physician’s office staff, clinical staff of various departments via telephone or fax.
Verify insurance benefits using the electronic insurance eligibility application (Passport), Internet applications or telephone calls to insurance carriers.
Obtain authorizations and pre-certification for applicable visits Other Information
