Description: Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College is employing Chairperson, Medical Imaging right now, this vacancy will be placed in North Carolina. The Department Chair has the responsibility for successfully providing leadership and direction to the academic curriculum of the Medical Imaging Departme! nt.

Duties

1. Provides leadership for Radiography and Sonography faculty, staff and students; performs administrative tasks such as chairperson paperwork, performance reviews of faculty, conducts advisory committee meetings, ensures positive community and clinical relations.

2. Conducts and maintains accreditation; evaluates, changes, or maintains curriculum programming.

3. Provides classroom instruction specifically in Radiation Protection/Radiobiology, Image Acquisition, Digital Imaging and Radiographic Equipment; skills assessment, clinical site evaluations, student advising.

4. Other tasks such as representing the division on college committees, planning for the improvement of the department, providing support and feedback for Medical Imaging faculty.

Minimum Requirements

1. Master’s degree in related field;

2. Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current registration in Radiography! ;

3. Proficient in curriculum design, program adminis! tration, evaluation, instruction, and academic advising;

4. Documented three years clinical experience in Radiography Technology;

5. Documented two years of full-time (or equivalent) experience as an instructor in JRCERT -accredited Radiography program.

Preferred Requirements

1. Community College experience;

2. Leadership role

3. Knowledge of medical sonography
