Position will be responsible for the overall customs compliance and best practices related to the entry and release of products for imports and exports as it relates to a! ll supply chain functions and international commerce. The position will ensure that the company is in full compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to the import and export of company products and material. Additionally the position will continue to develop, implement and maintain programs that will enhance security throughout the international supply chain in accordance with CTPAT guidelines. Successful candidate will be accountable for; and will documented operational procedures, processes and controls that will ensure compliance with CTPAT and other customs regulations while enabling the Company to maximize business opportunities within the international supply chain. Position will work closely with engineering, legal and supply chain management to ensure considerations for duty impacts, trade agreement favorability, embargos, denied countries, etc... are reviewed prior and after contract award. Must be able to work with other divisions, inter, and intra compa! ny to ensure uniformity in the compliance process and procedur! es.
Undergraduate degree required.
Prior background/ experience: Minimum 10 years experience in a position dealing with international customs requirements; strong background in dealing with NAFTA regulations
Special requirements/ skills:
The position requires an in depth understanding of CTPAT and customs regulatory requirements.
A Customs Brokers License is highly desirable.
