Entry Requirements:
(1) Be able to read and write simple Chinese and English; and
(2) Pass a fitness test of lifting and carrying a mail bag (around 16 kg) from one place to another.

Duties:
(1) To load and unload / bundle up / dispatch mail items and mail bags;
(2) To assist in operating mechanised letter sorting machines or other mail processing machines;
(3) To perform messenger duties (including indoor / outdoor delivery and collection of mail items);
(4) To convey, load and unload bulky items in indoor or outdoor areas, and deliver goods by vehicles;
(5) To tidy up venues and perform cleaning duties; and
(6) To undertake other duties as assigned by supervisors.

For monthly-rated positions, the basic working hours are 48 hours per week, the basic working days are 5 days per week, 9.6 hours per day (including one-hour meal break);
For daily-rated positions, the basic working days are 4-6 days per week, 8 hours per day (including one-hour meal break);
For hourly-rated workers, the basic working hours are 18-36 hours per week, around 4-6 hours per day (not including meal break).

Terms of Appointment:
The successful candidate(s) will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for twelve months. Subject to operational needs, employees with good performance may have the opportunity for contract renewal after completion of the first contract.
Fringe Benefits
(1) Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(2) For monthly-rated employees, an end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon completion of the contract with satisfactory performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
