We are advertising for the role of Healthcare Assistant for Āhua Tohu Pōkangia in the Perioperative Services directorate.
  • This is a great opportunity to begin a frontline health career in a wide range of service settings offering a great variety of positions/options
  • Range of frontline health and supporting administration tasks/options
  • Permanent full-time role, fully rostered shifts – Monday to Sunday
  • Complete the orientation programme as well as ongoing support

  • As a Health Care Assistant, you'll frequently find yourself involved as part of our team in any of 39 different operating rooms where a wide range of procedures are performed by highly skilled surgical teams.
  • We offer a supportive environment and a structured orientation and training programme facilitated by Perioperative Nurse Educators. Our RNs and your peers are always willing to help you learn more about your exciting role in the OR and PACU.

Important Skills
  • We are looking for persons with a positive attitude, adaptability within a fast-paced environment and good communication skills to assist the needs of our multi-disciplinary perioperative teams.
  • A commitment to assisting your team members and sincere desire to offer compassionate communication and assistance to our patients and their Whānau is highly desirable in this role.
