The WCU Department of Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, and Economics offers a wide variety of academic programs designed to prepare tomorrow's business leaders in the pri! vate, government, or public sector. The Department invites applications for a one-year term-contract Instructor in Economics and Quantitative Analysis to teach beginning the fall semester 2014. Preference will be given to candidates with a primary interest in teaching introductory-level business statistics, microeconomics, and macroeconomics. Salary at the instructor level is commensurate with degree and experience. A doctorate or master's degree in economics or other appropriate field is required, although ABD candidates will be considered if the completion of dissertation requirements is imminent.
The department offers BSBA degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Computer Information Systems, an Economics minor, and a Master of Accountancy degree. There are 22 full-time faculty and several adjunct instructors.
