This position is a long term contract opportunity.
Customs Specialist
Assures that Company is in ! compliance with the laws and regulations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and all other government agencies that impact trade compliance. Drives efforts to minimize expenses, reduce delays and secure the various supply chains with which the Company is involved.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides guidance, training and support for other associates within the department pertaining to trade compliance systems, procedures and regulations as delegated by the manager.
Oversees special projects to ensure timely completion and quality results are achieved.
Seeks operational efficiencies for the department continuously.
Communicates to management any changes or issues that may impact department or company performance and works in conjunction with management to achieve resolution.
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, International Studies or related field.
3+ years of experience in a trade comp! liance related capacity.
3+ years of experience using! Microsoft Office products, SAP or other related ERP
software and associated trade compliance applications.
